StyleTone Box | Januari 2017 – Goal Digger

Elke maand unbox ik voor jullie de StyleTone Box, waarvan ik lid ben sinds januari 2015 (daarvoor was ik lid van de Vipbox). Voor wie het fenomeen StyleTone Box nog niet kent verwijs ik naar mijn artikel met 5x leuke subscription boxen. Daarin vertel ik beknopt wat je kunt verwachten van de StyleTone box, hoeveel het kost en meer. De box van vorige maand bevatte geweldige glitters, dus laten we snel kijken wat er in de box van deze maand zit! Het thema van deze maand is Goal Digger.

Emité – Long Lash Waterproof Mascara – €22,-

StyleTone – This mystical mascara is a true invention when it comes to being born with shorter, thin lashes. It will magically capture your lash; lengthen it, leave it nourished and wrapped in a deep black colour. This mascara is waterproof, which means it will hold perfectly well in cats & dogs type of weather conditions. However it is a gentle waterproof mascara, which means it will work until you decide to dive into a swimming pool. But in return you get a more gentle formula that is not as damaging to your lashes and also not such a hassle to remove. Formulated with bees wax and castor (wonder) oil it nourishes and lengthens your lashes. Keep in mind that waterproof mascara’s need waterproof makeup removers.

Mijn mening – Ah dit komt als geroepen! De mascara uit de september box was erg mooi, maar begint inmiddels te klonteren, dus ik ben toe aan een nieuwe mascara. Mascara’s gaan ook zo’n drie maanden mee gemiddeld, of dan doe je er in elk geval verstandig aan je oude weg te gooien. Deze van Emité was even wennen. Het leek alsof hij je wimpers weinig aanzette, maar toen ik het in zijn geheel bekeek bleek hij wel opvallend genoeg te zijn. Het zet je wimpers subtiel aan, maar je wimpers zijn wel opvallender en lijken langer. Wat de waterproofheid betreft: deze mascara heeft een aflevering van All You Need Is Love doorstaan – en ja, dan jank ik keihard.

Evelyn Iona – Natural & Organic Lip Gloss – Lise – €20,-

StyleTone – This product has such a special story, that we really want to share with you. Founder Brandi, was living in a shelter just one year before starting Evelyn Iona cosmetics. She partnered up with one of the largest women’s organizations in Northern America to strengthen women and empower girls for a safe and equal future by donating a dollar for every product sold. Evelyn Iona is also a natural and organic brand that selects the ingredients as if it were your breakfast. Coffee in your mascara, green tea in your primer and striving to only use ingredients you could eat. This gloss is no different. The formula is non-sticky, very comfy to wear and has just the right amount of sheer colour to compliment a fierce eye look. It will nourish your lips with Oregano (anti oxidant), coconut oil (fights aging) and shea butter (heals dry or damaged skin) and it has very mild plumping properties, because Bark extract was added.

Mijn mening – Deze is eigenlijk best mooi. Geen plakkerige lipgloss, en een mooie subtiele rozige glans met subtiele glitters. Ja, ik vind deze mooi.

Figs & Rouge – Hydra Activ Flawless Effect Active Lumioux Serum – €38,-

StyleTone – Figs & Rouge is one of the highest rated brands from all the brands we’ve featured over the last two years. So of course we had to feature one of their products in this box. Figs & Rouge comes to your rescue once more, with their AM to PM serum, which provides you with immediate and long lasting hydration. It helps firm, lift and brighten your skin from AM to PM while providing a beautiful glow.

Mijn mening – Tsjah, we hebben in de afgelopen boxen al twee keer eerder een soortgelijke tube ontvangen van Figs & Rouge (maart 2016 en september 2016). Ik vind het dus jammer dat we er nu weer één hebben. Ik snap dat het een populair merk is, hij stond zelfs in mijn top 10 producten van StyleTone, maar ik zie graag meer afwisseling. Qua substantie heeft het goedje de meeste gelijkenis met de EvaCalm Recovery Serum uit de maart 2016 box.

Seraphine Botanicals – Guava Butter – €21,-

StyleTone – This creamy lip & cheek stain wears its name guava butter with pride. All the similarities with the fruit are inevitable; the colour, the smell, the buttery texture.. This lip & cheek stain is not so much a stain and that’s exactly why we love it! Different from other lip & cheek stains, this stick is incredibly easy to wear. So easy, that you can safely apply without a mirror on the go. The formula is incredibly soft and nourishing, but still gives a semi matte finish. It is 91% natural and contains shea butter, and no parabens or mineral oil.

How to wear: Suck in your cheeks, and draw a stripe from your ear to your nose on the deepest part of our cheek, blend with fingertips. Apply like a lipstick on your lips.

Mijn mening – Ik gebruik geen rouge, dan zie ik er namelijk echt als barbiepop uit en dat past gewoon niet bij mij. Maar er stond bij dat je het ook kan gebruiken als lipstick. Het brengt een beetje apart aan omdat hij zo groot is, maar het lukte redelijk netjes. Helaas slaat hij bij mij een beetje oranje uit en dat is absoluut niet mijn kleur, dus dit product is het niet voor mij.

Bellapière Cosmetics – Fan Brush – €20,-

StyleTone – Last year has been all about brushes, but we found out there was one brush that was still missing in most make-up stacks: The fan brush. This brush is designed to apply highlighter or setting powder, but also works great for blush, bronzer or contouring. Any product that is (pressed) powder that you don’t want to apply too much of: this is your go-to brush! Bellapierre developed an extremely soft brush with synthetic fibers that will not shed. It’s perfect for gently dusting colour onto your skin.

Mijn mening – Tsjah… Ik vind hem er wel leuk uit zien en de haartjes zijn heerlijk superzacht, maar ik heb nog niet echt iets gevonden dat ik hiermee aan kan brengen. Handig vind ik hem dus niet.

Extra

Mijn mening – Een klein extraatje! Leuke kaarten, maar niet helemaal mijn stijl. Een tijdje terug zaten er ook kaartjes in en die vond ik veel leuker. Maar zo zit er elke keer wel iets in dat de één wel leuk vindt en de ander niet. En het is een extraatje, dus…

Conclusie

Vijf producten en in elk geval twee toppers. De mascara zal ik zeker gebruiken en ook de lipgloss vind ik mooi. Het product van Figs & Rouge is zoals gewoonlijk een prima product, maar we hebben al vaker soortgelijke tubetjes van Figs & Rouge ontvangen. Ik ontvang dan liever iets anders. De guava butter is niet echt mijn kleur helaas. En ik heb nog niet ontdekt waarvoor ik de fan brush ga gebruiken.
